Workshops
Katja regularly teaches workshops which are informed by her research of the coherence of touch and movement, of improvisation and release technique, Shiatsu and Aikido, trauma healing and dance therapy. She finds delight in integrating her artistic background as dancer and choreographer into her body work and in sharing her multifold artistic as well as therapeutic experience and expertise. Her teaching aims at personal development and individual liberating processes.
Forest Dance - ongoing project
Forest dancing derives from the japanese forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku) in the sense of getting in touch with the forest, to dive into its unique atmosphere as if it was spring water, to resonate with its forms, colours, sounds and smells. The project takes you to selected energetic places where you will be led through a warm-up preparing you to explore the connection between yourself and the environment. Open improvisation scores then allow for new experiences, in dialogues between body and nature.

Dance Your Life - Your Life A Dance
How does your life form your dance? How does your dance imprint your life? The body contains our life experiences and stories. In this workshop we explore movement spaces that allow us to try out different perspectives onto our selves and our environment.
Prepared by a warm-up with stretches and breathing exercises we focus on the body's connections to space and gravity, as well as revealing the channels to feelings and memories. Led improvisations offer us approaches to our physical expression and emotion, in exchange and reflection within the group as well as in resonance with the nature around.
